Restaurants
As you might expect from one of Rhode Island's largest fishing ports, Galilee has many wonderful restaurants. Here's some of the best known:
George's of Galilee
Corner of Great Road and Sand Hill Cove Road
A Rhode Island landmark, George's has been serving seafood at the tip of Galilee since 1948. A wonderful menu of chowder and clamcakes, stuffies, lobster rolls, fried clams and more. Eat in or take out and eat at the rocks on the breachway.
Champlin's Seafood
256 Great Road
You can't go wrong with Champlin's - great views of the boats coming and going through the Breachway.
Aunt Carrie's
1240 Ocean Road
The quintessential clam shack, eating here is a summer ritual for many Rhode Islanders. Seafood served the old fashioned way - outside on picnic tables, in the semi-enclosed porch or in your car. Open daily except Tuesday from June trough October.
