Autumnfest began in 1977 as an opportunity for residents and non-residents alike to enjoy the spirt of Woonsocket. Held at the World War II Veteran's Memorial State Park, the success of that first Autumnfest celebration became the model for subsequent events. Autumnfest features:

The highlight of the weekend is always the Autumnfest parade which proceeds down Diamond Hill Road and Social Street to the World War II Veteran's Memorial State Park.
